Kevin Hart skips the Oscar gala after the criticism

The comedian and actor Kevin Hart has left his assignment as the host for next year's Oscar gala. The reason is Hart's earlier updates on Twitter that have been criticized for being homophobic.

It was with an update on instagram earlier this week that comedian Kevin Hart announced that he will be leading next year's big movie gala. But with a new update on social media, today it was announced that he was leaving the assignment.

The reason is the massive criticism directed at Hart's previous tweets. Several years ago, Hart wrote, among other things, that if his son came home and wanted to play with his sister's dollhouse, he would "strike it against his head and say" stop it is gay ".

In the same update where he announced that he will not lead the Oscars, Hart apologized for his previous comments.

"I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for the insensitive formulations I have previously done," he writes on Twitter.
